Exchange 2016 - new forum section? - EAC "This page cannot be displayed"

Hello Moderators / Board Admins

I've installed the Exchange 2016 preview in a test environment and imagine that others, sooner or later, will be doing the same.

Where should we post questions about Exchange 2016?

Will there be a new section for 2016?

---

My first question has to do with the EAC not displaying. Apparently (?) the same problem many had with the Exchange 2013 EAC when it was first released.

Installation was supposedly successful and EMS (PowerShell) does work.

Test-ServiceHealth passes: all necessary Exchange services running in background.

More details on my install here (at end of blog post):

Thanks.

I'll have to try later and see. I cannot access my "lab" right now.

It is still version 15 when you talk in terms of ecp... so https://localhost/ecp?ExchClientVer=15 should work. It works fine in my environment with the URL mentioned.

Do you see any error in the event or iis logs? Perhaps restarting the computer and see if it helps because I saw you got an issue with memory as well while launching powershell which I didn't get with 5GB of memory either...

Hi David,

Thank you for your question.

By my testing, I could login EAC without any problems. We are using https://localhost/ecp

We could refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:

  1.        Make Exchange could ping DC without any problems(include DNS resolution)
  2.        Make sure install all prerequisites by the following link: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354(v=exchg.160).aspx
  3.        Restart IIS to check if the issue persist
  4.        Check if you could access OWA
  5.        Check if there any errors in application log

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

Thanks all. Will take a look ASAP. Taking a look at Exchange 2016 was my weekend project and I am busy right now with my usual tasks. Thanks again.

Note: the EAC logon page displays but after logging on (apparently successfully) I get a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

1. I can ping my domain controller "DC2".

2. I had installed all the necessary pre-requisites.

3. I shut everything off for several days and then turned everything back on this morning.

4. Does not work with OWA.

5. No errors in application log about EAC. Only some about PerfLib and MSExchange Common (Perf Counter update error).

- Turned off IE Enhanced Security.

- The EAC site is in the Local IE zone (but not in trusted sites).

My admin user needed a mailbox:

I also had to clean some things up from a previous test.
